This is a wave icon I did that appeared in one of my commissioned art prints---this one for the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Many of my vintage art prints have been strongly influenced by Japanese woodblock print art of the Edo period (1700's Japan). Instead of representing the ocean waves in a more literal fashion, I created this symbol of ocean waves. You can see the art print here.
